The Standard-Times School and town officials from Mattapoisett and Rochester sent out back to back press releases Wednesday afternoon announcing a total of four new known COVID cases in the Old Rochester Regional School District two cases at Old Rochester Regional High School in Mattapoisett, one at the Old Hammondtown Elementary School in Mattapoisett, and one at Rochester Memorial School in Rochester. School and Mattapoisett officials reported in a press release that they received word of the two cases at the high school and the Old Hammondtown Elementary School case on Tuesday. According to the release, the individuals who tested positive for the virus are self-isolating in accordance with Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) protocol.
